چکیده

Abstract Matching codes are stabilizer based on Kitaev’s honeycomb lattice model. The hexagonal form of these particularly well-suited to the heavy-hexagon device layouts currently pursued in hardware IBM quantum. Here we show how stabilizers code can be measured solely through two-body measurements that native architecture. Though subsystem formed by has a trivial space, sequence which they allows desired logical subspace preserved. This therefore achieves result similar recently introduced Floquet codes, but via completely different method. process is then run 27 and 65 qubit devices, compare results with simulations for standard error It found correspond well where noise strength benchmarking devices. best devices consistent model an probability around 1.5%–2%.

Matching characteristic codes: exploiting two directions

Combining incoming and outgoing characteristic formulations can provide numerical relativists with a natural implementation of Einstein’s equations that better exploits the causal properties of the spacetime and gives access to both null infinity and the interior region simultaneously (assuming the foliation is free of caustics and crossovers). We discuss how this combination can be performed a...

Capacity of Hexagonal Checkerboard Codes

CHECKERBOARD codes are two-dimensional binary codes that are designed to satisfy specific constraints [1], [2]. An example is the two-dimensional rectangular binary arrays that satisfy the (d, k) run-length constraint— there are at most k 0’s and the number of 0’s between any neighboring 1’s is at least d in each row and column [3]–[7]. It may naturally arise from data storage on a surface [8],...

Hexagonal-8-QAM Constellation with Low PMEPR codes

A construction of hexagonal shaped 8-point QAM called H8QAM is shown. H8QAM constellation outperforms the conventional rectangular constellation and 8-PSK. Furthermore, construction of H8QAM Golay sequences having low peak-tomean envelope power ratios (PMEPR) from two QPSK Golay sequences is presented. Various upper bounds on peak envelope powers of these sequences are evaluated.

Topological color codes and two-body quantum lattice Hamiltonians

Topological color codes are among the stabilizer codes with remarkable properties from the quantum information perspective. In this paper, we construct a lattice, the so-called ruby lattice, with coordination number 4 governed by a two-body Hamiltonian. In a particular regime of coupling constants, in a strong coupling limit, degenerate perturbation theory implies that the low-energy spectrum o...

Matching 3D hydrodynamical models with interferometric measurements

For the nearby dwarf star αCen B (K1V), we present limb darkening predictions from a 3D hydrodynamical radiative transfer model of its atmosphere. We first compare the results of this model to a standard Kurucz’s atmosphere. Then we use both predictions to fit the new interferometric visibility measurements of αCen B obtained with the VINCI instrument of the VLT Interferometer. Part of these ne...
